The count is now up to 610 colleges and universities that use the Common Application, so chances are you'll be using it.  (Interesting fact: 33 school are outside the US.)

You must fill out the FAFSA form to be considered for any finiaial aid package.  As the title says, it's free.

Almost 400 schools require this additional form for financial aid considerations. There is a cost per number of schools but a fee waiver for low income applicants.
